Senior Content Strategist

Hunter Marketing is a full-service creative agency, production studio and media buying powerhouse based in downtown Columbus. We're on the hunt for an extraordinary senior content strategist! Our ideal candidate is an AP Style expert who can tell an impactful story at any word count. Agency experience preferred but not required.

This role is based in Columbus, OH.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of brand guidelines and styles when writing digital content 

  • Ability to create content strategies and tone of voice for new clients

  • Develop creative that is tailored to different audiences and different platforms 

  • Master at flexing between brands and being able to turn the customer the voice on and off

  • Strong presentation skills for client pitches and internal stakeholder meetings 

  • Strong research skills to become an expert on topics that may be new to you

  • Collaborate closely with account managers and project managers to ensure work is completed on time with world-class quality

  • Proof and edit copy with excellence before client delivery

  • Comfortable contributing to multiple projects at once with moving deadlines

  • Loves crafting all types of copy (long- and short-form, social content, social engagement, blog posts, press releases, annual reports, RFPs, etc.)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Ability to write clear, concise and convincing copy – you possess excellent grammar and proofreading skills and are detail driven 

  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and specs on social platforms, especially Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok

  • Strong editorial and creative writing skills

  • Knowledge of digital PR, social marketing and crisis consultancy, with a deep understanding of how to create engaging experiences and articulate them through a multitude of social, digital and mobile channels

  • Experience with CRMs 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
