Finance & Operations Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to own the financial engine behind that work. This role is responsible for managing the flow of money in and out of Hunter—client invoices, vendor payments, media spend, and payroll—while bringing clarity, structure, and confidence to how the business runs day to day.
This is not a back-office role. This is a critical position that keeps the business moving, the team supported, and leadership informed.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN:
You will own the financial rhythm of Hunter—ensuring everything is accurate, on time, and running smoothly.
REVENUE & INVOICING

Own client invoicing across all accounts—accurate, timely, and aligned to scope

Track incoming payments and manage follow-ups to ensure strong cash flow

Maintain visibility into receivables and flag risks early
EXPENSES & MEDIA SPEND

Manage all outgoing payments including vendors, subscriptions, and media investments

Ensure everything is paid accurately and on time

Keep records clean, organized, and easy to access
PAYROLL (FULLY OWNED)

Run payroll for the Hunter team, including salary, bonuses, and reimbursements

Manage employee setup, changes, and offboarding

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality
FINANCIAL VISIBILITY

Maintain real-time, accurate financial records

Prepare monthly summaries that clearly show revenue, expenses, and cash flow

Help leadership understand where we are and where we’re going
CPA PARTNERSHIP

Work directly with our CPA to keep everything organized and compliant

Support monthly and year-end close

Ensure all documentation is ready and accurate
SYSTEMS & STRUCTURE

Build and maintain clean, efficient financial processes

Look for ways to simplify, streamline, and improve how we operate

EXPERIENCE

4–8+ years in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations

Experience managing AP/AR and running payroll directly

Strong experience with QuickBooks (or similar systems)

Experience working alongside a CPA or external accounting partner

Agency or service-based business experience is a plus
